STUDENT EDITORIAL TEAM FOR SCIENTIFIC MEDICINE

This is to inform you about the newly launched international medical journal called SCIENTIFIC MEDICINE.

The journal comprises of several international basic science researchers, practicing clinicians and medical scientists in it Editorial Board. SCIENTIFIC MEDICINE shall be an open access forum and shall also include a team of student editorial interns in its board. It is committed to function as a school where all the amateur and young investigators, primarily medical students or recent medical grads, will learn the art of scientific writing and critical analysis of research papers from their guides who will be none other than the distinguished members of the Editorial Board. Through this the students will get an opportunity not only to hone their scientific and editorial skills under the mentorship of their team heads but will also share a platform to discuss their ideas with the senior researchers and initiate collaborative research if possible.

This idea has sparked interest in the minds of several researchers worldwide who have already consented to be on the editorial board. Unlike developed world, where the students have the opportunity to learn the basics of review of research papers from their mentors who are themselves in the editorial board of several international journals, the students in the developing world have no access to such amenities. Thus, the basic aim behind the launch of this journal is to provide a strong platform to all research oriented students to learn scientific writing and analysis from preeminent people in the field.
